Now that I’m screaming
Screaming my pain,
My confusion.
Can you hear me
Through your shielded eyes,
Your covered ears?
My throat left bleeding,
Your heart still unfeeling.
Your ears deaf as ever.
Your eyes, seeing only what is safe.
You refuse to take that chance.
That chance called love.
You say it does not exist.
Two people should never be as foolish as to trust.
You say two in love only brings pain.
But did you ever consider
How much it could hurt
To be one in love?

You cradle me in your arms.
I wonder what you can possibly be feeling.

Holding onto my picturesque reality.

Three words will never give my heart justice.
Yet, you believe that you will never feel enough to whisper those three words to me.
I hate those three words because they’re not enough.
